new to vista ultimate x64

i just have a question , on my pc it seems like vista has my harddrive working on overtime all the time, all i can see is my harddrive lights flicker the whooole time like as if im downloading something ,
is that vista normal?

Hi superirican. It is probably the Indexing System.Vista is a disk intensive op system. Have a look at Brinks Tutorials , http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/. You can reduce this. It isn't anything to stress about though.

it makes more sense , as i read in brinks tuturials that the indexing would happen more of the beginning if you have a fresh new install of vista ( which i do) , i noticed it stopped after 15 min after startup , i was scared since i never seen that with xp
