Hi Sean

I use Ultimate x64, I started using x64 because like most people, I wanted to know what it was like.
x64 is more stable than x86 and when I work with video it is also a bit faster, remember though that most other installed programs are x86.
Program compatability is good for me, I have only one program (from 1999!!) that will not install

Pooch

SeanBond,

This link will help determine if a program or device is compatible with the 32 bit or 64 bit Vista.

Windows Vista Compatibility Center

With only upgrading to 64 bit Vista, you may not notice much speed increase since everything else is the same. However, you will have more potential for a performance increase with the 64 bit Vista.

Yes, you can dual boot with the 32 bit and 64 bit Vista as long as they are each installed on a separate partition or hard drive, and do not share a data drive or partition. Sharing a data drive or partition between 32 bit and 64 bit Vista will usually lead to it becoming corrupted and potentially losing what is on it.

Photoshop CS2 had issues with Program Files (x86). I had to install to Program Files. It was partially 64-bit and ran great in XP x64 SP2. I have not reloaded CS2 in Vista x64 because I am waiting to get CS4.
