Can't Create New User Account

Hi everyone.

My Office suite has had a bit of a fit, and the fix I've found involves creating a new user account, then exporting that account's registry.

The kicker is that when I create a new user account, nothing happens. The profile shows up, as does the picture, but no directory is created in the Users folder, nor in the registry.

So, it shows up, but doesn't actually exist, and when I try and sign on to this new account, it says "The user profile service failed the log in. The user account can not be loaded."

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,
Trix

Thank you for the welcome and the suggestion!

The problem is, it's not that I have an account that's become corrupt, it just never creates properly...

I've tried creating it with CMD, and with netplwiz to no avail.

I've run SFC and was given an all clear.

All this happened after I ran AdobeClean - thank you very much CS2 for not being able to uninstall cleanly *grumbles*

Any other thoughts?

Hello Trix.

It's probably too late for a System Restore, but it may be worth a try. Just use a date before the problem occurred.

Keep us informed!
