Hi zon,

one thing to try is boot into safe mode and see if that helps you to delete them

another thing to try is running explorer exe as admin - start globe type explorer into the search bar and right click windows explorer - run as administrator. see if that helps

Someone has to know how to get rid of this write protection. My machine never had a problem with it before and now I can’t ridmyself of it; I even performed a complete recovery. It’s zeros and ones [Boolean algebra] there has to be a way to remove it completely.

I’ve performed registry changes, diskpart operations, addedEVERYONE with full control to all of my drives security settings, you name it andI still get write protect errors.

I have an H-P Pavilion dv6t Notebook with Vista x64 HomePremium. One internal drive and two external USB mobile HDD's
You guys are brilliant with computers so you must know away to completely delete this feature. Can I just remove all registryreferences to it or related keys? I don't even want it on my machine it's caused me so much grief.
