Solved Page Colour

Hi Everyone,
I am working on a TAFE project. The word document I have created has the page coloured, text and photos on it but when I print the page out the background colour will not print, everything else does. Can anyone out there help me with this problem.

I'm wondering if it's a problem with your printer or printer drivers instead of MS Word.

What version of Word are you using? Usually Under "Help" "About Microsoft Word" or if it's MS Word 2007 you probably won't find that menu :D

Check your printer setting, there will be a setting for not printing background, its to conserve ink, and also speeds printing.

Otherwise open Word>>Tools>>options>>Print...tick Background printing.

You never mentioned which version of Word you are using, but in Word 2007, the procedure is as follows:

1. Create your document.
2. Click the Ribbon "Page Layout" section.
3. Select you "Page Color" as shown in this screenshot:

3. Edit the document as required.
4. Click the Word Orb, click the Print Arrow, then select Print, as shown in this screenshot:

5. Select the printer you want to use for printing
6. Click the Options button, as show in this screenshot:

7. Make sure that the "Print background colors and pictures" option is checked, as show in this screenshot:

8. Click "OK"
9. Click "OK" again to begin printing.

I haven't used Office 2000 or 2003 for ages, so I don't remember the procedures to achieve the same effect with those versions, but it should be similar.

Thanks for the help, my problem has been solved. Not knowing a lot about computers doesn't help. Learning something everyday. Found the print options that I didn't know about. Project looking great now.
