help add program from cd

I cannot access a cd in the cd crive. I cannot find the cd drive anywhere don't know where to look. Ive tried all the run features but I cannot seem to find the name of the program to get to it.

I am trying to install the cd for dymo label writer. I put the cd in and nothing happens. I cannot find run on my vista menu. I finally accessed it but i don't know the name of the program. What happened to the auto install wizard that used to do this. Please help been trying all these different options for an hour to get cd installed. Cannot find where to open cd drive only see hard drives and f drive.

Did you recently uninstall a CD writing program?
Also, Can you see the CD drive in device manager?
If so, is there a code number next to it? What is it?

You can try Microsoft's "Guided Help" here: You can no longer access the CD drive or the DVD drive, or you receive an error message after you remove a CD recording program or a DVD recording program in Windows XP: "error code 31" You'll need to download and install the guide the article references...unless you want to do the procedures manually.

Note that this involves messing with the registry!

I can't tell you how the guide works, but I did run through the manual procedures (I didn't actually delete anything) and the steps do work for Vista.

I would suggest you try the guided help and go from there.
