Memory

Hey, just a quick question, i currently have 2gb's of oc'z memory at 800 mhz ddr2...(2*1gb sticks) and i was going to buy some kingston ddr2 at 1066mhz (2*1gb sticks) im just wondering if its compatible and will my computer read from the quicker memory 1st? vista ultimate 32bit build 6001

Your Asus M3N78 has FSB of 1066MHz. So yes.

Right, i know it can support 1066mhz but will it use the quicker memory 1st?

As always it will revert back to the slowest memory module installed...
All your RAM will be running @800.

Patio is correct.
It will operate at the slowest ram installed. If you have 2 sticks @ 800MHz and 2 @1066Mhz
Why not just install (2) 2GB sticks @ 1066?

because i was hoping it would read as 1066, ive already got 2 sticks that ive only just got and i was just looking around and saw i could get 2 more at a higher speed for a pretty good price. ah o well i guess ile just buy 2*2gb sticks at 800mhz.

I would install matching sticks for best performance and less problems. Can you get 4 of the 1066 sticks?
