Re: System Restore problem

Hello, I have 3 PC;s running Windows Vista. I have many times to use system restore and have NEVER once had it complete sucessfully. So just to let you know that you are not the only one that can't get it to work. Wish I had an answer for you but I do not.

Regards:
Bobby

Thanks for the advice. I made my first venture into BIOS when I booted up this morning.
USB keyboard support was already enabled, but I took the opportunity to enable USB mouse support as well. After that F8 worked and I was able to get to the safe mode menu.

The issue I had that led me to consider System Restore has now resolved itself, but at least I should now be able to get there if it happens again.

I still don't understand why System Restore will not work from within normal Windows, as the "Windows Vista Bible" says that it should.

Of course it should, but depending on many things, such as perhaps an installation problem, a corrupt file,a system hang and other stuff this could have been messed up.

Glad you sorted this out.

Cheers

Yes it should appear, so how patient have you been waiting for it to appear, as it may take a few seconds or even much longer relative to the system and the path taken.
