Can Anyone Help, Please

I like to keep my games in good condition, so I usually make an image and use Daemon to play. However, when I try to overwrite with a no-cd Patch a box pops up saying I need Permission.I have taken ownership, tried it as the 'HIDDEN ADMIN', etc; but all to no avail.can anyone think of anything? It's the only problem I have had with Vista x 64

Thanks for your time

Jeff

1) We cannot condone or advocate the use of No-CD patches to run games without the CDs - even if you do have a legit purchased copy.

2) "Run As Administrator" because anything and everything in the "C:\Program Files (x86)" and "C:\Program Files" folder are protected.

Tried that. No good . Actually, the law says that it is OK to do it that way , that was the Main reason for Daemons existance, PROVIDED that you can show the original on demand.

NOT in South Africa!

Ok, so then let me help in maybe sorting this "permissions" problem.

When installing your games, change changing the default install location from "C:\Program Files" to a folder of your own. I usually use "C:\Games", and that solve most compatibility problems I might have.

Thats how I got "Diablo 1", "Diablo 2" and "Empire Earth" to work on Vista x64 without requiring compatibility mode settings...
