Sure, and thanks! I've managed to solve most issues with help from a buddy who works in IT and it took him a week of tweeking to get Vista to like SATA drives!
Issues right now:
1) Lexar multi card reader. Does not read cards 2 GB and up, had read that. tested it, sure enough, no go but did read smaller cards. Could live with that, camera downloads higher cards just fine. BUT it seems you cannot transfer pictures TO any size card in the reader. It comes up with a message "card is write protected" even when not. Options are "try again" or "cancel". Believe it or not, if you hit try again rapidly and often a window pops up showing that the picture is being copied to the USB device, the card in the reader, but if you check after in explorer, it has not been. You get "folder empty". Lexar does not have, or does not think new drivers
are needed. I've e-mailed them and we'll see if they have a response.
The other issue that pooped up was a conflict with vista DVD maker and an Indeo Codec. Probably with regards to codec used by my Canon S3is in movie clips. I have'nt looked further into this as yet and hopefully Adobe Premier Elements will handle this and I won't have to worry about Windows DVD Maker.
Games- weell I'm not big into into them. Would like to get IL2 Forgotten Battles running, and a few others. Solutions are probably online, just need time to get to it.
All that said, I like the Vista interface, if I can just get things going all will be well with the world! So, thank you all for your understanding on these issues. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
