Vista - Can you speed up download speed from ISP

Is it possible to increase the download speed from an ISP without using rubbish software which generally have Malware with it?

One word answers are not useful in this debate...

Not it isn't, And none of those so called accelerators will either. The only way to get faster speed with your ISP is to get a faster package/connection if possible, or go with an ISP that offers faster connections.

I think I may understand what you are saying. You want to download something from say, Nvidia, the Internet Explorer takes forever to download, right? if that is what you are saying, you purchase a Download Manager (Internet Download Manager as an example) and not only will it increase your download speed, it will prevent (for the most part) corrupt downloads.

If you were to get it for free with a hacked serial or what have you, then, your chances of getting a trojan or malaware increases.

Now, say you are on Dial-Up and you purchase IDM, your speeds still will increase but not by that much compared to the speed used by Internet Explorer.
