I'm using Vista Home Premium and when you open my computer there are 3 buttons in the top right hand corner "Encrypt File/ Decrypt File/ Open/Close PSD"
Recently i decided to encrypt a file in My Photos and have forgotten the password i used to encrypt it...Help!!:( what to do to decrypt it???

Please answer asap.....Thanks

Your issue is caused by a third party encryption application that is not part of Vista.

PSD or "Personal Secure Disk" is the Acer edata Security utility, and to my knowledge this is no "password reset" You may want to contact Acer.

One thing you can try is a System Restore in Vista to see if you can reset back to a point before you encrypted.

start>in search, type restore> Click "system restore">click "continue">

You can also try right clicking on the file itself, click "properties", and select "previous Versions" to restore an unencrypted version of the file, If existing.
