Vista wont boot at all

Ok, i got a new vista home premium rig at Best buy about a year ago. It was working fine, untill last christmas. My computer would never load vista, just a black screen. If i rebooted a few times, vista would load and all is good. I then tried to repair it via basic ideas, service pack etc. But one day it wouldnt load. My cursor would appear, but no vista. I let it sit for over two hours with no results, my screen saver even kicked in.

With no options i sent it to a cpu store, fixed it for about 80 bucks...2 months later, it did it again! Can i fix this instead of essentially paying a bi monthly bill to run my computer?

A note, it was store made and i added nothing but a new video card, and that was a year before it started doing this.
