Outer reaches of insanity!!

Hello Kind and knowledgable folk,

I've had this irritating problem with my background for quite a while. It won't fill the screen completely. I've tried everything!!! I've noticed that when I change the res to a lower one (I'm currently using the full 1680*1050) and then reset it back - it goes back to normal - with the wallpaper completely filling up the screen - just like it used to back in the day but as soon I shutdown and start a new session - the position of the pics goes all funny again.

At first I thought it had something to do with the hi-res wallpapers but I set a doodle my little sister done on paint as the background and it still has the same issues. I wouldn't mind using a lower resolution but i'm my monitor is a 20 inch widescreen and anything lower than full res looks blurry and out of proportion. I would really appreciate it if anyone had any idea how to sort this out.

Monitor: HP w2007v

Firstly, can you please resize the image!

Then tell us what the properties of the original image is. We'll need to know the orginal size in pixels

Your wallpaper image should be bigger or equal to the desktop resolution. In you case, >1650*1050.

Hope this helps,
