    Windows Explorer

    Hi, does anyone know how to make windows explorer start up faster.. Whenever I try to open it, it takes forever?..
    My system has no start up programs, and is very clean.

    There's a couple of things you can try: 1. The "fix" is here, in this article from Ed Bott - editor at ZD Net: http://www.edbott.com/weblog/?p=2443

    and 2. Try setting IE8 to run in "Compatibility" mode on website that allow it, and turning "Protected Mode" off.

    Oops. so sorry. Regarding Windows Explorer, there are quite a few suggestions here: Search The Knowledge Base, depending exactly on the cause. Afraid you'll have to do some digging, but this is a good place to start.
