"new folder" doesn't show until F5 is pressed?

I'm finding some strange behavior in windows explorer. If I have afolder open in Details view, right click in the main pane and select Newwindow yet. I have to press F5 to refresh the page for it to show up.In XP doing this would not only show the new folder immediately but putthe name in edit mode so I can type its new name conveniently. Is there a way to make explorer react to the new directory (ie, notneed to press F5)?:(

Hi ,

find the file C:\WINNT\ShellIconCache it is hidden file, just delete it, restrat windows, it should do the trick.

Better solution than the download. Faster and simpler. Have some rep.
