| Vista Ultimate x64 | Constant BSOD :( My partner and myself built a new system and installed Vista x64 Ultimate on it. During the install we kept getting the BSOD, looked up the net and found out that it wouldnt install with 8gb of ram so we installed it with 2 and added the other 6 after install and that worked fine. Now everytime windows starts, after about 10 seconds, sometimes less the blue screen comes on and the system restarts. We have tried everything we can possibly think of. Here is what we put in the machine Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz nVidia GeForce 9800GT 1024MB PCI-E 500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA2 16MB ST3500418AS 7200RPM MSI P45 NEO2-FR iP45 Socket 775 Motherboard OCZ 8GB PC2-6400 DDR2 C5 Quad Channel Platinum Low Latency XTC (4x2GB) Samsung 22x SH-S223F DVD±RW SATA - Black Any help would be so appreciated. |

| Vista Ultimate X64 SP2 | Re: Constant BSOD :( Blou Screens are a result of buggy/bad drivers or hardware issues. You have not provided enough info to determine your issue. A BSOD states the driver/hardware error: i.e., "0x0000003B: The SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION" See below for example: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 3b BCP1: 00000000C0000005 BCP2: FFFFF800022D4DE2 BCP3: FFFFFA600B0C4D50 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 6_0_6001 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1 Which means... BCCode: 3b BCP1: 00000000C0000005 Memory access violation The SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION bug check has a value of 0x0000003B. This indicates that an exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code. Possible cause- Graphics card This error has been linked to excessive paged pool usage and may occur due to user-mode graphics drivers crossing over and passing bad data to the kernel code. | Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: Constant BSOD :( Sounds like a RAM issue. I'd run a memcheck (control panel>admin tools) on your Ram....it could be a bad stick. It will let you know pretty quickly if there is a memory problem. |
