I've tried some methods already and still unable to use "Computer Management".
I've tried having my computer in safe mode.
I've tried going to cmd and net user administrator /active:yes and tried to access "Computer Management"
I've switch on and off UAC.
Note* I am logged on as the administrator. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit

What can I do to access the Administrative Tools?

Hi serioustyro,

Take a look at this tutorial, it may give you some good info.

Have you tried just going to the Control Panel-Administrative Tools or right click on the Computer link in the Start Menu under Manage?

I did not accidentally delete my administrative tools. Yes, the first thing I did was right click computer and click manage and then I tried going into Administrative tools but I get the error "Windows canot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item," even though I am logged in as the administrator.

Are you logged into the hidden admin account or the first account you created, which says you are admin ? The later is actually a user account.

OMG OMG OMG!!!! I was having such a bad day. 3 hours of sleep with an essay due in 5 hours. This just made my day. Thank you so much.

How in the world were you able to discern the problem? This was so specific that If I didn't stop to ask and continued searching for an answer, I would have probably never found it.
