Hi,

I have set up a power plan in Vista Home Premuim 64Bit on my laptop. Is there anyway to have the laptop change to that plan when its plugged into the mains and stay on another one when its on battery? Or do I have to keep changing it?

Can you let me know,

Thanks

Wizkid

Hello Wizkid,

You should have two separate settings in your Power Options that you can set for how you want your laptop to do when you are On Battery and Plugged in.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

Can this be changed automattically or do I need to change it each time?

You would only need to make the changes once to your power plan for each of the On Battery and Pluged in settings. The only time you would need to change anything is if you just wanted to. :)

See the Power Options link to help understand a bit more on this.

You will not need to switch to a different power plan when you are on battery vs plugged in. Instead, all you have to do is set, in that one power plan, how you want your power settings to be automatically for when you are on battery vs plugged in.
