Screen burn in fix?

I found this

JScreenFix - Fix stuck pixels

but was just wondering if there was anything else to help me fix my burned screen if you know what i mean.

Burn-in is a fundamentally different issue to stuck pixels. The first thing you should probably do is to determine exactly which problem you've got. Both are generally unfixable, despite claims by "screen massager" utilities.

Stuck pixels are a manufacturing defect - the panel has elements which are either "stuck on" or "stuck off" as a result of a mechanical flaw. Some vendors offer replacements if the number or concentration of stuck pixels exceeds a given arbitrary threshold. Check the "Terms and Conditions".

Burn-in used to blight CRT monitors but it's thankfully far rarer on modern LCD and plasma panels. Displaying the same image for many months or even years can cause the substances around the light emitter to undergo chemical changes, which in turn leads to a "burned" or persistent ghost image which is visible even when the displayed image changes. That's usually considered normal wear and tear (even though it's sometimes partially caused by cheap componentry), and to the best of my knowledge no manufacturer is going to replace the monitor of burn-in. Perhaps if it happened during the warranty period they could be convinced?

My Computer

I have a samsung syncMaster 191t

I played a game for about an hour, and at the top of the game it has the score thingy or something, and when I exited the game I could see a very faded image of the game on my desktop, i can easily see it on my desktop, but hard to see when have browser open.

so?

It doesn't show up when I changed my desktop background to solid white color, or black color, but when I put in a medium color like gray.

also about jscreenfix thingy it sounds like it just burns the screen more, but equally?

or does it actually take it away?

b/c it sounds like its going to just equally burn the whole thing which in turn will make ur screen darker right?

The best option you have is to run a full screen movie, the image will slowly begin to fade to nothing. I have had similar issues with gaming on my 42" plasma, so when this happens I just throw on a DVD and by the time it's done (sometimes in about half hour) the image is gone.

Hope this helps :)
