Folder ICONS

I categorize my Icons in Folders. I actually only have three Icons on my desktop with one of them being my folder. When I open my folder I have some basic Icons to Word, my Router and more folders. One folder is 'Graphics" in there, of course I have all my Graphic Program Icons: I have another folder named "Geek": in there I have all my Icons for applications which monitor my CP temps and those kinds of things. Etc. Etc. So here is my problem:

My Desktop Icons never change in size. however, if i open one my folders, then open up another folder and continue on more often than not, when I go back the Icons have all gone to "Detail" size. I use the Ctrl and Mouse wheel to bring them back to size, but eventually they all go back to Detail size.

I saw a few threads discussing the Desktop Icons, I was wondering if anyone has a fix for the Icons within a folder. I have already tried the obvious.

Thanks and I love this site. Good stuff in here, glad i found you.

Hello Ginns, and welcome to Vista Forums.

I do not know what you may have tried already, so......

Vista will only remember the folder view settings for a folder window location for how it was when it was last closed. See if adjusting the icon size, then closing the window will have it remembered for that folder location for the next time you open it.

If it does not, then apply METHOD TWO in this tutorial and try again to see if will remember afterwards.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
