| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Help with blue Screen Dump file Hello all. I shut down my Vista Ultimate last night and today when i opened the PC i got Blue Screen, and it said that a Dump file was saved. I found and zipped the dump file, and i will be glad to upload it here if someone can tell me what to do to prevent it from happen again... Thank's for the help! |

| Win7x64 | Re: Help with blue Screen Dump file That's analysis - that's not the dump file. If you're going to attach that kind of output, you need to ensure your symbols are right first. Otherwise, attach the minidump itself. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP2 | Re: Help with blue Screen Dump file Here's the error in the minidump: "The registry cannot load the hive (file): \SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE or its log or alternate. It is corrupt, absent, or not writable." Run CheckDisk to ensure that you don't have hard disk problem(s). |

| Win7x64 | Re: Help with blue Screen Dump file It means the OS is having trouble accessing a very important portion of the registry from its disk-based file image, hence the recommendation to CHKDSK. [It also means Mr.CyberZeus is probably using private symbols ] |
