Help with blue Screen Dump file

Hello all.
I shut down my Vista Ultimate last night and today when i opened the PC i got Blue Screen, and it said that a Dump file was saved.
I found and zipped the dump file, and i will be glad to upload it here if someone can tell me what to do to prevent it from happen again...
Thank's for the help!

If you upload the minidump(s), from the \windows\minidump folder, someone may be able to help you understand the crashes. Until then, it's not possible to help in any non-guesswork way.

Re: Help with blue Screen Dump file

That's analysis - that's not the dump file. If you're going to attach that kind of output, you need to ensure your symbols are right first. Otherwise, attach the minidump itself.

Re: Help with blue Screen Dump file

Here's the error in the minidump:

"
The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE
or its log or alternate.
It is corrupt, absent, or not writable.
"

Run CheckDisk to ensure that you don't have hard disk problem
(s).

Re: Help with blue Screen Dump file

What does the path "\SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE" mean?

It means the OS is having trouble accessing a very important portion of the registry from its disk-based file image, hence the recommendation to CHKDSK.

[It also means Mr.CyberZeus is probably using private symbols ]

Re: Help with blue Screen Dump file

I'm not using private symbols. It was written that way in the minidump
