Please help, i have this new HPnotebook with a core2 3Gram, ATI 512..

When i play games, switch user, my taskbar enlarges and shrinks respectively.. look at the image.. does the resolution of my PC have to do with this? or vista is at fault? or HP is at fault? or me? what to do, HP customer care dont know what they are doing.. Also, they didn't review my specs before sending new solutions.. Giving drivers not compatible for my notebook. I dont know what to do, after i play a game, whether its an officially licensed game or a cracked game. And when i change user, it shrinks.. look at the image..

#1, normal size of taskbar..
#2, size after switching users..
#3, size after playing games..

Please help.. and also, let if HP is at fault, let this be warning to everyone.. I bought this notebook because i love gaming, but gaming is one of the problem that arises in this model and brand..

When playing a game, is the screen resolution different from the normal desktop resolution?

yes.. does it means i have to make the same resolution for the game or my desktop? can i do something to auto configure it?

also, what about the switching users? when i log off, then change user, everything is normal.. the change arises when i directly switch users without logging off? can i do something about it?

thank you very much..

Try running the games as the same resolution as the desktop. We will try and solve one problem at a time.

Do the different users have a different screen resolutions?

I would advise using the native resolution for your monitor.

yeah, when i play a game a game with the same resolve as my desktop, it doesn't change.. so, there's nothing wrong with my PC? or vista?

what about the directly changing users, they have the same resolution.. why change?

so the only solution for the game problem is to have the native resolution?

what about the direct switching of user?

This is not a common problem.
The reason why it is best to have the native resolution for a game is so the screen does not look slightly fuzzy.

If the screen resolution is the same for all your users then mayby it is something to do with the settings of the taskbar in thier settings.

Your PC and Vista is fine.

Have you got Sidebar is always on top of other windows ticked?

Try closing it in the third screen shot then reopening it.

you see, what ive done now is to put my taskbar at the bottom, and made another user... because when my taskbar is at the bottom, it does not resize.. i guess, vista has not configure it when the taskbar is at the side?

yes, always on top of other windows ticked.. because i like to do simultaneous processes.. but now, it is reduced because of my problem..

i tried the closing it in the third screen shot then reopening it, but still extended size when restarted..
