This is a long process, i would start by closing the context items first and then give it a try. Start by clicking on the "type" bar at the top of the application, this will group all the context items together making it easier to find them, right click on the items you want to close and press disable, reboot and see if it has worked. Post your results. Good luck.

You could try to disable them one at a time but that will take for ever with no guarantee of success. To speed things up a bit go to
start,
administrative tools,
system configuration,
click the startup tab and disable all, apply.
next click the service's tab,
check the "hide all microsoft service's" box and disable what is left, apply, and try that and see what it's like.

thanks alot ~ just a little update . i found out the Telephony in the services is the 1 causing the hang . Just a question . Is that a important component? if it is not then i will just leave it there

My Computer

Go to this link: BlackViper Vista Services

Scroll down till you see telephony then click on it and make up your own mind if you need it or not. You can just try setting it to manual and then reboot and see if its OK and then try setting it to Disabled and reboot and see if you can live without it.

I have mine set to Disabled.

Good work.
