Vista Boot Problem

I manually installed Vista Basic some time ago, but now, whenever I turn the computer on, there's always this annoying windows boot manager. How do I make it so that when the computer turns on, it just directly turns on, like without going to the boot manager thing...

Re: Vista Boot Problem

Does the boot manager have anything else except 'Microsoft Windows Vista' ? If it does, what is the other option? You download easybcd to change and remove any boot option in the boot manager. You can download easybcd from here: Download EasyBCD 1.7.2 - NeoSmart Technologies

Additionally, another way is to boot from the vista dvd and get to the screen where it says 'install now'. On the lower left click repair my computer. Follow the instruction and it will restart, it should be fixed.

As a side note, I had tune up utilities and that created a second boot option in boot manger.

Re: Vista Boot Problem

You can change boot and start up configurations by:
running "msconfig.exe" and changing the boot defaults. remove invalid boot entries and set default OS startup.
