32 bit or 64 bit, how do I tell?

New Member
I have a new Dell Studio 1535 laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium installed. After where it says 'Home Premium', it is blank. No 32 bit or 64 bit is listed. How can I tell for sure which operating system has been loaded on my computer? Sorry in advance for the seemingly simple question.

Try right clicking computer on desktop and select properties, it should give all the info there.

Thank you for you quick reply.I have displayed the screen that you attached. At the top it says Windows Vista Home Premium (with nothing after it). Shouldn't it say 32bit or 64bit here depending on which software is loaded? If not, that's okay. I just want to know for sure.Mine looks like your screen print further down where it says, system type 64-bit Operating System. Is this the only indication that it's running the correct software?Thank you again!

Yes, the top one is what version of windows your running and the bottom one is the system type, 32bit/64bit.
If your screen looks like mine then all is well.
