| Windows XP x86 Professional Service Pack 3, Windows Vista Ultimate x86 Service Pack 2 (VMware) | Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error! Hey guys! Recently I've been waiting to reproduce a problem that has caused an error message as stated in the title of this thread and luckily got it this morning. The error message reads: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error! Program: C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Here's what I know about the error: 1. It happens when graphical changes occur in my display. Such as but not limited to: *Alt Tabbing from games *Closing games *Logging On 2. It does not reoccur everytime, it seems that the error is not consistent. 3. Dreamscene always closes once explorer.exe restarts. 4. The games I play are: *Warcraft 3 and the Frozen Throne (Version 1.20e) *Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight (Version 9.1) 5. Windows is fully updated. 6. In scanning with Avira AntiVir Personal, Malwarebytes Anti Malware and Windows Defender, nothing is found. 7. Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 with Service Pack 1 Express is installed. There is also a similar thread but talks about 2 errors instead of one, also the case in which our problems occur are different. The thread is located here. Any suggestions would be swell. Hope you guys could help out. I'm stomped at the moment. Oreo |

If you have grayed "View Problem history" this means history has been cleared. You have to wait for another error.when it appear -at once check it in "problem reports and solution" I do have have Ccleaner installed which is what may have erased it. If the error reoccurs, I'll make sure to get the information there and post it back here. Thanks. In the meantime has anyone else got any other suggestions? Oreo |

| Vista Bussiness x64 PL | Re: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error! No.If any program clear "problem history" you have to stop it -As you can see it is not good idea to clear problem history automatically. The best way to do it manually if you already don't need information from there .So I'm waiting for your new report... |
