Do you know if it's possible to make desktop shortcuts show all their text? I keep a lot of shortcuts to forum topics on my desktop, and I'd really like to see the entire topic names rather than just the first word or two. Thanks!

Don't know if these suggestions will affect the folder title on the Desktop, but you might see what happens if you 1. go into Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, View, Files and Folders, and check: "Display full path in the title bar (Classic folders only)" and/or 2. check: "Show pop-up descriptions for folder and desktop items"

Solved—someone at Windows Annoyances helped me with this. In case anyone else wants to do it:

1. R-click desktop > Window Color and Appearance > Advanced.

2. In the "Item" list, select Icon Spacing (Horizontal), then set a value higher than the default 43 (e.g. 100).

Cheers, ander
