Dell Inspiron 530, problem with Nvidia....

I've got a 2 year old Dell Inspiron 530 desktop. It has Windows Vista Home Premium, I have all the cds that came with it. I had had to restore it, It installed Windows fine, but now I have to install the Nvidia card and I'm stuck. The computer came with a Nvidia cd, but it doesn't auto play. The cd says it contains drivers for the 8300 GS and the 8600 GT. I have the 8300 GS. When I explore the cd I get 8 different drives, none seem to work. I went to Dell Laptops, Desktop Computers, Monitors, Printers & PC Accessories and entered my service tag and it says I need to download "R170550.EXE", when i click to download it it won't finish downloading, and that file is not included on the Nvidia cd thart came from Dell. I have a Toshiba LCD TV as my monitor. Windows looks ok, but it is too big for the screen and some of the Start menu is missing along with the menu/toolbars at the top of all windows. When I got the PC I hooked it up to this TV and everything worked. Now when I go to the display settings I can't get anything better than the lowest settings. How can i fix this?
