Hi, got a bit of an issue that i can't resolve. Basically Since I've put in a temperature gauge for my Kandalf case it's now will not shut down. well it does shut down and powers off ( i also have an intellipulg thing but i'm sure thats fine) everything goes off monitor pc all the lights inside etc... then about 10 seconds later it just turns back on !! Can't see how the temp gauge has done this as all that does is gives a display and takes one power molex so can't turn it back on. Have made sure that it's not on wake on lan/wireless. and turned off wake on usb keybored etc. Please Please help i've been making do with it just going into sleep mode for like 6 months now.

Hi MightyMouse and welcome to Vista Forums

I agree that just having this device installed and only connected to a molex connector should not interfere with your system in the way you described. You could try unplugging it to see what happens. Another thing - are you sure that you are selecting Shutdown and not Restart?

Right i've gone through the steps on there but thats all to do with sleeping the pc and mine sleeps fine i've even done everything that post says just to clarify things. But my problem is still there when i shut the pc down it auto starts up after about 10 secs. it's not rebooting it's now bluescreening ( well i think it's not ) as i would of thought i would get a "quick" reboot if it was doing that e.g it wouldn't power all the way down first.

Did you try Step 4 to see if it gives you any information on what woke your system up?

all i get from that is

Wake History count - 1
Wake History [0]
Wake Source Count - 0

and like i said it's not that it's waking up it thats it turning it's self on after it's been shut down. It sleeps and wakes fine.

Are you using software in conjunction with the temperature monitor? If so, what happens if you disable the software but keep the hardware in place?
