memory question

Hi, everyone i'm new here. I own a compaq pressario f700 which has 2gb of memory (ddr2), i have read that this is the max for this laptop, but was wondering if that is for a 32 bit scenario. It came with vista home premium installed (32bit), but i have upgraded to vista ultimate 64bit to take advantage of the amd athlon 64bit dual processor. My question is this, can i double the memory to 4gb? Many thanks for any help.

Hi and welcome to vistaX

According to compaq it Supports up to 3 GB DDR2 memory. In either 32 bit or 64. Thats not bad for 32 bit but is pretty tight for 64
