Cant install vista x64 on my computer. All computer details on thread.

Hey People...

Im new here just looking for some information about vista x64.

I bought and built this computer a few days ago and also i got
windows vista gamer nvidia edition 2009 R1 x64. It wont install at all it gets to about 5% and gives me an error any one know if its a hardware error.

Heres my computer.
Intel core I7 920 D0 2.66GHz
Asus P6T IX58
Corsair 6GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9(9-9-9-24)
BFG GTS250
Sata Seagate 1TB HDD
Sata Lite on DVD-RW

What is Vista gamer edition? I have never heard of that before. If you have xp x64 pro installed I don't see why x64 vista wouldn't install. Check your hardware and see if there are an incompatibilities with vista especially that gamer option or whatever it is called. Also make sure you are doing a clean install not an upgrade. X64 xp Pro had compatibility issues in the past and if the drivers aren't being changed it may cause an install issue.

Check back of what this Gamer edition of Vista is. That may be the reason in itself.
