Icons On Desktop

I have a few icons on my desktop about 5, I created a new toolbar in the system tray, called desktop, but when I open it I have 2 of each icons?, i tried deleting everything, but they come back again, after i add them to my desktop each time? why is this happening?,does anyone know?.. I cannot delete them all in the system tray,?

I suppose that you created a repository folder for your icons. Call it something different than "desktop".
BTW: If you grab this repository folder, push it all the way into the top of the screen and release it there, you will get a neat toolbar on the top. If you right click on it, you can make all kinds of settings (e.g. Hide, size of icons, etc.)

have you run a registry cleaner, or created icons within special folders, or maoved a special folder out and then back. Anything like that?

Did you change the folder name? And what happened?

Ken, I did not create any folders, did a registry clean,still the same. But, Internet explorer is the only double icon showing now?if I delete the icon on the desktop, it still shows in the system tray,under toolbars/desktop.
