hi all,
i have a very annoying problem with the control-key shortcuts on my new dell laptop, which is running Vista home premium. it seems to sometimes think i'm holding down the control key when i'm not. for example, i type "A" in Word and it selects all, or i type "T" in Word and it inserts a tab. it happens in all Office software and web browsers, and possibly other software too. if i type more slowly, it doesn't seem to happen as often. i'm definitely not accidentally hitting the Ctrl key occasionally. it's like there are shortcuts associated with hitting two letters in a row, although i know that's not true. it's so weird that it only happens occasionally, otherwise i'd suspect my Ctrl key had been jammed on or something. ever heard of anything like this? (the history box just opened when i typed the H in heard, and the print box just opened when i typed the P in opened; they are just 2 of probably 10 examples just from writing this email).
please help!
