What do I do with the Recovery Partition

I had to run a clean install of Vista on my Dell 64-bit laptop. It worked well and the OS is on C:\. However, I don't know what to do with the Recovery Partition. It is located on drive D:\ and is 9.99 GB with 1.88 GB free. The install of Vista did not seem to impact the Recovery Drive D:\. Was I supposed to do something with it before doing the install? Should I now delete it or leave it alone?

LEAVE IT ALONE. The day you loose your installation disk you can install from there. The additional 10GBs will not make you richer.

I deleted mine but it was my choice...same as yours. I have never been able to get it to work when I needed it. I got the new disks from HP for free when I had to replace my HDD so it worked out for me. True the 10 or so Gigs wont tip the scales unless you top out ur HDD with data like I do...only like 15 GB left on my drive for me.
