I set up a standard user account for my grandson to use when he comes. I hid the taskbar on this account and the only thing that appears on the desktop are the shortcut icons to his games and the recycle bin. He was playing a game today, closed it out to play a different game and came running to me to tell me all his games disappeared. I came to check it out and there was not a single item on the desktop.
I googled it and someone said to open task manager, click on processes, find explorer.exe and end task, then go to appications, choose new task and type in explorer.exe. After I did this 3 times his game icons and the recycle bin appeared on the desktop, but it was stated that I would probably have to do this every time I used this account.
Does anyone know what would have caused this to happen?
