I am running Windows 7 Ultimate. I do a complete system image backup each week to an external hard drive. However each new backup seems to overwrite the previous backup. Is there any way to keep several generations of the image backups?
From all I have seen and heard, the Win7 Backup/Restore is not yet ready for prime time. A lot of people had problems with it. And that could be fatal the day you need to recover your system. I would recommend you use a proven program for that. My current favorite is free Macrium because it is really efficient and it works. Here is a little tutorial that I have posted.
