You have two choices. You can read your computer manual, find out how to get into BIOS. In Bios, set the boot order to CD/DVD. Turn off computer. Put your vista DVD in the drive, boot up. Select repair option.

Anoher way is to read your computer manual, find out how to get back to factory specs. It a combiantion of F keys, at start up. You lose all programs and everything else. It will be like the day you brought it home.

The windows have a system recovery part.. I already run the chkdsk /r and even chkdsk /f but no luck.. I tried it with cd as well to run the repair but no luck..
Cannot restore the computer to factory as thats not the option I'm looking for.. as i have flight simulator on the computer and can't afford to lose my planes..
I am looking for other options please..

After working with Vista all day, I misspoke when mentioning the Vista CD. I regret the misunderstanding.

Vista works pretty good for me, better than windows 7 in my opinion (for now)
you never know when it might work just as well for someone else?
