I am having trouble with hard disk space. Primary is always filing up. I have searched for the program taking up the space. I have no music video or pix saved.

You would be surprised at how much junk a HDD can collect over a short period of time, so try this free app to clean out some rubbish.

CCleaner - Download

If you use the registry cleaner, Backup Registry When Prompted.
I have to say, 100Gb is not very big for a HDD these days.
Anyhoo, try the app and see how you get on.

After taking Stony advice, do a chkdsk and then a defrag. I think that you will be in very good shape.

Click on computer, right click on c drive then properties then tools. for the above functions.

volume shadow service can take up to 15% of the entire disk. Vista allocates, or reserves, a certain amount of hard disk space to store shadow backups. However, you the user can change the space allocated. Run cmd as administrator and type vssadmin list shadowstorage. This will tell you how much room is allocated and how much of the allocated room is being used. Then type vssadim resize shadowstorage and use the given parameters to resize accordingly.
For example:
vssadmin resize shadowstorage /On = C: / For = C: / maxsize = 3GB
The / On = C: indicates that the photos will be saved on the C drive
The / For = C: indicates that the photographs are those of the C drive

Best of Luck
