folder size

Hello everyone,

Sorry for my English if I do make a mistake, but I am Dutch. I will do my best!

My question concerns the folder size in Vista. Normally the folder size by right clicking on the folder and choosing properties is exactly the same as when I 'go over' the folder with my mouse. However, there are some folders in the C drive where it is not the same, meaning that right clicking and choosing properties shows for example 3,4 GB. But when I go over the folder with my mouse it shows 3,8 GB. Can anyone tell me what the reason is and if/how I can fix this?

My second question concerns the following. When I right click on my C drive and choose properties it says that 27,6 Gb is in use. No problem so far... But when I take the different folders on the C drive this is 30,1 GB. For your info: I made the hidden files visible, so I am also able to see the recycle bin / pagefile.sys and hibernate.sys. When I take the size of the different folders and files this is 2,5 GB more than when I check the C drive itself. It's even more strange... The C drive is 30 GB. No problem if 27,6 GB is in use, like it says. But the size of the different folders and files is more than 30GB. It shouldn't be possible that it fits...

Can anyone help? Thanks!
