Have a resume created in WORD 2007. How do I copy it? All I get is Edit Header! This has occurred more than once. I really need to paste my resume but cannot even copy or cut. Please help

Left click mouse, highlight area that you want to copy, and then right click and hit copy. Go to the new file, right click and hit paste. If this does not work let us know.

Thank you very much. Seems like you should beable to copy an entire document the same as you do with E-Mail. Oh well - thanks again.

I did not say that is the only way. Its the way that I know and use. It is a feature that I do not use too often. I am sure others will provide a better method.

TY for asking. That is called rep. You click on it and a box will appear, you write a few words about the service that you received.

I was very happy to help you. Please feel free to return and share your knowledge or to use ours.

dewindle, yes, of course you can copy the entire document. Go into Windows Explorer, right click on the document and choose copy. Then you can paste it in any document you wish. What I often do, is to first create a blank Word doc with the new title I'm going to use, and THEN go into Windows Explorer to copy the old doc into the newly created doc. So in your case, for example, you'd first create a new file called "New Resume" (or whatever...) and close it. Then go into Windows Explorer, copy your old resume, and paste it into New Resume. Voila!

If I go into WORD 2007, select a document, and then right click: there is not an option to copy, cut, or paste. The options do display, but cannot be selected.

You don't do this from the Word doc, you do it in Windows Explorer. And you don't open Windows Explorer from Word, you have to open it directly from the Windows Explorer link in your Windows Accessories folder. (I keep a shortcut to Windows Explorer in my Start Menu and on my Desktop at all times, for exactly this purpose. There are many functions you can do with Windows Explorer IF you enter it directly, and not try to enter it from an open Word document.)
