everything on the screen has enlarged

I was working last night and evidentally clicked some control keys that makes everything on my screen magnified. While on the web everything is too large as well. What key strokes can I use to bring this back to normal? I have tried the zoom level at the lower right hand corner of the page, but the main part of the screen is still way too large.
Thanks,
Dot

Hi Dot,

  • Right click on your desktop and click Personalize.
  • Click Display Settings at the bottom of this new window.
  • Drag the Resolution slider at the bottom of this new window as far right as it will go and press OK.
Does this solve your problem?

Richard,
If you ever come to North Carolina, will treat you to a cup.
www.NCMountainLife.com Such an easy fix. Do you know which keys I may have accidentally taped to bring it on? Am sure there is a key combo for that somewhere. Your fix was so easy that I won't worry about it. I tried several different places and I ended up sliding it only part way,
Thanks again.

Richard,
It worked great! I chose the number combo of 1024 x 768. As you use the slider, different combinations come up. This seemed to work really well for me. I suppose it depends on the size of the screen you have.
Thanks again.

That is really great.:party::party::party:

All screens have their optimal, different slider position, called the screen's resolution. The higher the resolution, the more pixels (individual, tiny colour spots) fit on your screen, so the better the image quality.

It is also possible that you did not press any keys. If an application running 800x600 resolution crashes or closes badly, the resolution can be left on Windows and saved, so you may have done nothing at all to cause this problem!
