Solved ..:: Ahci Controller to IDE ::..

Hy all , im having major problems here ...
So first of all i installed windows 7 (Ahci was set from BIOS ) , but when i want to change to ide it goes to BSOD when loading windows , i tried the regedit trick ( Change the start key ) and it didn`t work , so im stuck with this AHCI becose im pissed it takes from boot time !!!! and the HDD isnt faster , i dont care about that native command queing (every one is saying "MIGHT IMPROVE PERFORMANCE" but it doesnt !!! ) , and i dont care about Hot pluging ... , So please some one help i want to switch back to IDE and i dont want to reinstall ...
My system is a laptop :

Gateway 7809u FX
Intel Core 2 P8700 , 1066 FSB
4 gb ram , 1066 fsb
Nvidia Geforce 9800GTS 1024 mb ddr 3 256 bit
Western digital 500 gb hdd
display 17 (1440x900)

Installed Windows 7 Professional .

So again my question is how can i set to Ide from AHCI , i tryed from bios but bsod , and i tryed regedit trick still bsod !
A little help here :o

B/c you installed W7 with AHCI chosen in BIOS, W7 did not install IDE drivers -- if it even has IDE drivers anymore. Choices are to either try reinstalling W7 with IDE chosen in BIOS, or add the IDE drivers manually via booting from a CD with something like BartPE and copying them where they belong.

But if you just installed W7, and if it *does* have IDE drivers native for the asking, (and I'd find that out first), I'd just opt to reinstall with IDE set in BIOS.

Otherwise, if W7 does not support IDE, it's time to learn to live with AHCI and save yourself a heap o' trouble. :)

Ok man , i dont understand what u where saying over there , The only thing i could do is somehow to put the settings in bios to IDE , after that somehow if i could repair windows 7 , and the repair would detect that the Ide drivers are missing and the windows 7 dvd would install it , a little help how or what can i do ???

You could try that. In your place I would first Google to see if W7 supports IDE. If it does, then try a repair. If that doesn't work, it would be least complicated to change the BIOS to IDE, and re-install W7 like that, so that it loads the IDE drivers as it installs.

yes man i tried to repair with win 7 dvd no succes , i tryed to change regedit keys after that i put bios to ide , still no succes , i tryed like 6 hrs and still no succes , and im pissed off , and i will still try to make it work , but i dont know how , simply it refuses to work with ide , and yes i installed some time ago win 7 with ide , but after i formated hdd i installed win 7 with ahci , if some 1 is knows more pls help ...

Ive done it !!! Ive done itt !!!!! Wohoooo it worth those 6 hrs of my night and this day ! Ive finnaly done it im creating a tutorial how to fix ahci to ide in windows 7 !!!
