Keylogger

On my wife's Dell XPS laptop, vista business, it keeps identifying dell media center as a keylogger. I have no way of finding where the file is or disinfecting it. I have kaspersky suite 2010, I tried running Malwarebytes and IObit and they found nothing. Is this bad or should I search and delete whatever it is?

Hi Again, alspumoni,

How and where did you get the Dell Media Center?

There is legit software, that if downloaded from the wrong site, can contain virus and/or malware. Post and we shall decide if you should uninstall the Center.

This is just a guess, then. I do not think that Dell Center as purchased will cause any sort of concern, since you did not download it. My concern is that some keylogger may have attached to the Dell software. You have used some of the best software for Anti Virus and other Malware and it comes up negative. Many times a report of a problem is a false positive.

I figured that, Kaspersky is picking it up, so I guess I will have to dig deaper and see what I come up with in the report. Maybe uninstall, reinstall. Thank You again Rich 46 !

I will try this a little later.
