At first I had this problem with my Acer laptop. every time starting up, it freeze while starting up "on the top of @Microsoft Corporation". Control Alt Del did not work I had to press down the power to shut it off. but when I on safe mode its fine.

I thought I have a windows problems because I tried so many different methods to fix it but it still the same, so I format the hard drive.

Now I try to install the new Vista, did load the files from the CD to the machine but after done loading try to start up, it FREEZE again!

I ran out of idea how to fix this thing, if any one have the same problem before or have idea how to solve this problem, please share. I will be appreciate!!!

Hello aris15,
Remove all but one stick of ram, try and boot and see if it locks again.
If all is well, or not, swap the ram over and try again, keep doing this with all the sticks of ram.
Try this and post your results.
