Hi,

I have a Fujutsu Siemens Amilo Pi Laptop.. I run Vista Premium Home 32 Bits. Service Pack 2
Intel Core 2 duo CPU T7100 @ 1.80 GHz 1.80 GHz
Memory: 2GB

But everytime when i'm working on it for a while it stops functioning.. ( for about 30 minutes ).
I went to a computer shop and said they would fix it for me.. but when i got it back they said everything is working fine.
does anyone know how i can fix it myself?

I think it has something to do with my hard drive.. cuz when i'm working in office word i save it multiple times but when i open it later i find out it haven't been saved for a while..

Thanks in advance for some tips!

When you say "stops functioning" do you mean it locks up frozen?

If so, is there an approximate time it usually happens since you start using it?

Often if you have a bad piece of hardware it will work until it heats up. Then it will cause the machine to lock up. You power it off and leave it alone for awhile. It cools down. You turn it on again. It works until the bad part heats up again.

If something different is happening please give details.

It sounds like a hardware problem to me. Most of the time if a PC just locks up solid not related to a particular program, it's the hardware. I don't think any tweak is going to fix it. I'd check into repair options.

You need the machine, tools, meters etc.. to diagnose it.

Check out the places around and see who has a good reputation.

Hello Yorin,
The first place to start is to run a memory test, use Memtest, or the built in one in vista.
Run the test overnight, good luck and post your results.
