Annoying Cyberlink Icon

A registered version of Cyberlink Power2Go came with my laptop. I only use it occasionally but do not wish to uninstall it.
I try to keep my desktop free of clutter and the program had an icon ever since my first boot. I delete the shortcut and it disappears as with any other program, into the recycle bin.
When I next boot the PC the icon has recreated itsself.

Any ways to stop it?

In search type msconfig. Go to the startup tab, uncheck the program if it is listed. Then boot. You can probably delete the icon, now.

YOu can also try to delete it in safe mode.

One of these methods should work.
