Windows Explorer Icons

Hi, my attached picture shows my problem.

Windows Explorer doesn't show icons.

Help would be appreciated.

Hi there, thanks for you help, but I still can't get the icons back.

I have a theory...

I installed K-lite codec pack 6.00 mega beta, and it has the option of displaying all of the different icons in windows explorer (adds icons for loads of image file types that windows doesn't have), it set the JPEG icon too, and I think that now, every time I see a JPEG icon MS has used in explorer, like a green tick etc, I just get a JPEG file type icon.

I'll try restarting the laptop to see if that makes a difference after applying the settings you suggested.
