Reinstall Vista on Acer Aspire 7520 Laptop

I have a Acer Aspire 7520 laptop that used to have Vista installed. I've been playing with it some and installed Ubuntu some time back. Got recovery and system disks from Acer to reinstall Vista but keep getting a window saying something about windows/vista not able to install with this hardware. I haven't changed any of the original hardware and have reformatted the drive with both fat and ntsf but get the same problems with hardware message.

Appreciate your reply. I don't have anything Windows 7. All the disks I have are: 3 from acer, 1 system & 2 recovery; a disk from windows DT-V1-1D disk format and a disk from Debian called GPart. I currently have Ubuntu up and running and a disk set for Debian. The 3 acer disks seem to go into the machine as they are suppose to and then I'm instructed to restart --as I remember; microsoft messages appear suggesting I'm in business and then a message; something about not installing with this hardware. Can I use the windows disk format disk or Gpart to wipe the HD clean?

Got this message in email, don't see it here yet:

I was looking for a way to restore to the way it was when you bought it. Seems like you may have deleted it. If that is the case, you can call the company and for a small charge, they will send you a DVD. About 25 American or 20 Euro.

To use your Acer Recovery DVD's to restore, you need to delete all linux code.

How do I delete all Linux code? A homeless guy I met on the streets the other day mentioned BIOS. Does that have anything to do with my instillation problems?
