Windows live messenger messing with computer's aero color scheme

All of a sudden, when I open window's messenger, my resolution goes to the 8 bit color scheme..

So I go to display settings and fix it back and save it, but every time I open live messenger, it does this over and over. It started happening when I was on Mozilla Firefox, iTunes, and Live and the same time but my laptop shut off because it ran out of battery and I forgot to put it on the charger. Maybe it has something to do with that? Its says I don't have enough memory but I haven't been doing anything different or downloading anything except an album on itunes. I've tried repairing, uninstalling and re installing.. and customer service wants me to pay them to figure out the problem? Pshh.. I have discussed it in a gaia online forum so you can see all the other things I tried here: Color Scheme problem | Forum | Gaia Online

Sounds like your computer is low powered and needs the processor to use all it can to run messenger,So it turns off Aero
Or you have malware. What steps have you taken to track down the problem?
First run a malware scan with Malwarebytes
Then do a system file check http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66978-system-files-sfc-command.html
Post back your results.
Some system info would be helpful though.

I would run the system file checker now to see if the Trojan and infected file has damaged any system files.Post back you results.
